A bud that I swim with up at La Jolla cove asked a couple of us something pretty similar recently. Listed a bunch of higher end cars and wanted to know which one we liked best. I told him flat out that my “dream car” would be a late 90s ford escort station wagon in green. Everybody laughed but I’m sticking by it. They look cool …you can carry a surfboard inside and a ton of other gear …cheap to run …. good side visibility, and if you trash it somehow who cares? Somebody told me too that it would be a good choice for doing an all electric conversion.

pertinazzioParticipantI am 2/3 in equities in the form of foreign mutual funds (JAOSX and ODMAX) and an all India etf (EPI). The other third is in cash. If we crash as predicted a week for now I throw the other third into equities by buying high quality individual stocks such as AAPL, Apache, Rig, Goldman and hey maybe some TJ MAX. Maybe the crash will be like shooting fish in a barrel as it was last fall and in March. Bubble days are here again! Whoopee!

pertinazzioParticipantI’m wondering whether the Kindle can be used to read the old books available at google books or can they just be used on books you buy?
BTW: I just responded in the counter top thread and got held up for sending suspected spam which is kind of annoying because I limited myself to talking about 3/4 inch granite counter tops.
