ParticipantI think we all have to at least consider the possibility that we have entered an era of “permanent” low long term interest rates. I can’t even fathom a fed funds rate above 2-3% at this point. Look at Japan.

ParticipantMy agent just checked on this listing and they have multiple offers. The price has been pushed up to over 1.2M.
Looks like I didn’t “miss” anything except maybe some extra frustration.

ParticipantI have my agent focusing on other areas. I guess I really do have to stop relying on 3rd party tools but I like the convenience of being able to see every listing in SD county.
Houses almost never come up in this hood in my price range so I’m not super focused on it. We took a shot at the last REO on Obelisco but got blown out of the water. That one showed up immediately on sdlookup and had 10+ offers almost immediately but at least we did get a bid in on it.

ParticipantI check the listings daily and this is the first I have seen of it on sdlookup even though it has been on the market for 19 days. I agree the house will likely sell for more than list but it seems we have seen stuff like this before where the agent gets both ends of a deal and pushes their buyer through. I don’t know if that is what is happening here but the whole things seems fishy. I guess it is possible that I missed the listing or for some reason it posted on sdlookup 19 days after it went active. Usually sdlookup is very reliable, however.
The vacant lot sold for 480k in 1989.
