ParticipantWow, what a jump! I think we will see some serious discounting this fall.

ParticipantNice post surveyor. There is a lot bashing of Republicans here complete with extremist name-calling. These same name callers also display an amazing propensity for ignoring the obvious similarities between those they excoriate and those they support. Obama and Hillary are as corrupt as any other politician. Unfortunately, I think there are few politicians who are truly trustworthy and who will do the right thing despite negative polls. I would like to see a president who was truly dedicated to all Americans. Although I’m sure these same name calling holier than thou folks will disagree, the Democrats haven’t put forward anybody other than the usual sort of politician. Go on calling names and patting yourselves on the back, but you haven’t found anybody who is any better than the guys on the other side.

The people who worked for me were fairly paid – but the way the system is set up I made the real money. I'm not ashamed of that but grateful.
I am quite aware that successful businesses require good workers. Here in America, most of them are paid a fair wage. We do not live in a feudal society. Please explain to me how objecting to Americans paying taxes twice on the same money is somehow forgetting hard workers.
I find your logic quite twisted. You admit that you took most of the profits, slough off responsibility because that was how it was “set up” and then accuse me and jg of somehow turning our back on the workers. Instead of happily forking over 50% of your money to the government, wouldn’t it have been better to directly share more of the wealth with the people whose sweat made you rich?
Don’t get me wrong here, I think you deserve your gains and am not saying that you were not a fair employer. I am just pointing out the disconnect in your own thinking.
Further, cyphire, I have never claimed that poor people receive too many social services (although I do think that there are many who take advantage of the system).

ParticipantPer realtor.com, there are 129 single family detached homes for sale right now.
Taking the average sales for April and May (which only really affects the 1.75 – 2M), I came up with the following months inventory:Under 1.25 – 5 months inventory
1.25-1.7 – 23 months inventory
1.7 – 2M – .8 months inventory
over 2M – 17 months inventoryThe results were kind of strange, so I’ll put everything under 2M together – 4.8 months
Overall, the inventory is 9.21 months.
Hmm, how can the high-end market continue to appreciate with 17 months of inventory? According to the realtor I spoke to, the high end is appreciating while the low end is depreciating. However, most of the inventory is in the high end.

ParticipantAlex, I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and decide that you are being sarcastic rather than sincere.

ParticipantDoes anybody have time to research some numbers? I would really like to know how many closed sales there were in 92118 (Coronado) for April and May. Is there any way to break down the numbers in price groups (under 1.25m, 1.25 – 1.7 and over 1.7)? Thanks in advance. I’m trying to figure out how many months of inventory there is available. Further, it seems that properties under 2M are moving downward in price. I haven’t been paying attention to higher priced properties here. I talked to a realtor recently (who I do not trust AT ALL) who claimed the upper tier houses were still appreciating.
