Participant1)Blaming a political party regarding the current problem or bailout instead of recognizing that neither political party has an vested interest in the well being of its citizens.
2)The belief that you have the right to free speech when most people use that right to confirm that talking out of your ass will never go out of style.

ParticipantThis won’t change the current underwriting guidelines.
If anything, it’s an admission that we’re in choppy waters.

ParticipantThat’s one long pain in the ass reading for either a marketing piece or email that a broker would send out…you sure you didn’t sit down and write it yourself to troll for responses to your thread?
Nuclear winter? Don’t believe the all the hype. There are brokers that are busy doing what they do, it’s the guys that have either been in the business for a while or developed a referral network from all the good work they’ve done for other clients. The ones exiting the industry are the ones that needed to leave anyway, they’ll probably go back to selling another ‘hot’ product/service.
Personally, I’ve been just as or even more busy with shops closing up, other brokers/loan officers going MIA.

Thank you for posting that Chris. Whenever I’ve read posts regarding ‘swooping up cheap property’ it makes me smirk. It’s all hubris.
And for the people that are wishing for our economic system to tank, doom/gloom, peak oil, water, oxygen guys/gals, what gives? What affects your neighbors/neighborhood will affect you, no matter how financially impervious you might think you are.

ParticipantGood thread davelj.
Can’t wait for tomorrow, it’s going to be another interesting week that’s for sure. Looks like CW is going the other way with pricing and I’m going to guess that the other lenders are going to follow suit.

ParticipantI’m not fond of CW, and I personally don’t use/recommend them to my clients.
The 7.9% is for non-conforming. When I checked last week, one of my major lenders was offering 7.5% for a 30 year fixed. 5/25 probably isn’t a good idea right now.
Rate sheet is only accessible to approved brokers, I’m guessing info was sourced from this forum:
