IMO most on this board have a moral obligation to now leave California.
Huh? Why would there be a moral obligation to leave? And why most? Who gets to stay?
If you work in the private sector, leave. Otherwise, you’re an enabler.
California must go bankrupt.

Great Oak High: 849
TVHS: 814 (that sucks)
Chaparral: 835 (but hey, they have a great football team)paramount
Participant

Honestly, if schools are of the utmost importance look at Temecula.
Temecula HS wasn’t that good if you look at GreatSchools.org scores.
Agreed, I was just trying to do some marketing for my investments.
However, Elem and Middle schools are generally VERY good in Temecula.
I was really disappointed by recent api test scores for Temecula high schools. Although Great Oak high was in the top 1% nationally.

ParticipantI think this is the real analogy: Using a credit card to make the payment on the credit card, and then needing a credit increase to continue using the credit card to make the minimum payment on the credit card.
Man that makes my head hurt….

ParticipantThe more research I do on Texas, the more I like it – and much of the appeal goes back to one of my original statements: FREEDOM.
I found Lake view property starting at $19,900; but the best part is if you have a boat, you just take it down to the ramp and launch. That’s it!!!
No endless harassment by cops or some damn bureaucrat government worker, endless fees, endless lines, ENDLESS BS!!!

CA Renter, you’re really stuck on this Somalia thing I see.
Three questions for you: Why do YOU think we have progressive taxes? How progressive/how much is enough? How much of MY hard earned wages is YOUR fair share?
It’s the old tax-your-way-to-prosperity-model that never works.

Participant
Well i guess it could be worse.
I’ve been hearing 2st hand it’s pretty bad at a defense company in RB that begins with the letter B.
And I’ve heard 1st hand accounts recently that a defense company beginning with the letter N that a bunch of high level enginerds were recently told they would be automatically reclassified 2 levels down, and pay cut accordingly, and that if they didn’t like it, leave….
Yeah, that’s why I would never be caught dead working for a defense co….I’d be a full time mortgage broker before that happened.
I’d say you’re hearing correctly….
I was also surprised to hear SAIC is breaking up.
