Participant
You’re son probably isn’t a bully, but it doesn’t sound like the other kid is ok with receiving these jokes either. I guess my initial thought was if this other kid was fine with the horseplay, why isn’t he dishing it out himself, and why would talk to his dad about it? I mean, @ junior high, you are smart enough to figure out what is considered PC and what isn’t. So if this was really just horsing around, the last thing I would want is to share it with my parents. It would be like hearing a funny, yet crude sex joke in middle school, and then going home and sharing it with your parents. Ewe…
That said, it would probably be in your son’s best interest to lay off the “little bitch” and the “yo mama” jokes at school. Eventually, it’s bound to be overheard his female peers, and then he’ll be in deep shit with the school’s administrators.
Yeah, I told him if he keeps this up and it gets to an administrator it could mean the end of his basketball career there.
As for the other kid, son says he kept coming back and trying to join their group; glutton for punishment or clueless? I mean why keep coming back to his group, there must be plenty of other better, more PC cliques or church group to hang with right?
I think I’ll tell my son to just say hi and bye and stay away from that kid for his own protection – my son has always been edgy and South-Park and I can’t totally trust him to resist off color behavior that may reach the wrong ears.outtamojo
Participant
thats what is great about school kids, you never know when you’re going to end up dealing with the other parents unresolved sh*t.
That said, flu has it right this all goes very badly for the boys when a female instructor blunders into it.
While your at it, better double check make sure he isn’t dropping the “n” word, “c” word or any other names the music “stars” like to bandy about.
He’s used every one of those words and yes it’s been a struggle getting him to tone things down. I think deep down he is still the nerdy kid others use to push around and make fun of because of his Asian features and so he puts up that front he puts up.

ParticipantA really nice watch is something that can stay in the family forever, which is why I don’t mind when my wife wants to buy a nice piece of jewelry. So, if you amortize the cost over several generations that nice watch you want is actually pretty cheap.

But based on all the squirming and fighting back she was doing on the ground it’s clear she’s not cooperating. Surest way to get your ass beat by the cops is to fight back when they are trying to arrest you.
It’s a natural human instinct to squirm and fight when some piece of shit thug is punching you in the face. Do not try to excuse this shithead’s actions. Hope the city loses big, he gets fired, and he gets charged in a Federal civil rights (doesn’t have to involve race as law is written) rap as well.
Bet he beats his wife and daughter, too.
She only got punched in the face after the second officer showed up and she increased her attempts to get free.
I’d like to see some of you do the job of police work day in and day out of the comfort of your desk chair.
Only got punched in the face while being restrained…WOW. Apparently her instincts were proven correct when the second cop showed up.
Right Wing Authoritarian are we?

Oh I better add this to post from the Wiki : )

Dumb question. What’s the best wait to reduce all that fat around the waist/abdomen?…. Lots of crunches everyday?
Eat less.
Heartily agree. Work your @ass off and find u worked off a measily 200 cals. What I do is skip 1 meal a week instead of steady dieting.

Participant
things are different now, i think people are a liability, not an asset. we dont need workers, we have enough, and humans are a net negative. maybe we dont really need more people.
i may be a one issue voter this next election. no h1b visas. fight for us citizen engineer rights. help my poor kid out…
i didnt watch the debates, i dont care about anything, not one issue, except this
Participant$2495 been the going rate for 1450 sq ft 3/2 detached condo in SEH for 2 years now . So 2495 + premium for Carmel Valley location, better complex… doesn’t look too outlandish to me.

ParticipantThat pan looks relatively unencumbered so dropping it and replacing…about a very messy half day job if nothing unexpected is found. When I did my E39 most frustrating part was keeping the gasket aligned while I got the first few bolts back in. I would go with the better brand- German cars seem to leak all the time as it is and putting something poorly made down there is asking for trouble imo.

ParticipantShoulda made this into a poll : )
Me I’d rather hear the cars outside than neighbors through a common wall. Only way a condo could make me think twice was if it was detached and had amenities (nice pool etc.).

Participant
I’m a big fan of the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
Very competent affordable family cars. The Camry is just above $20k.I’m a big fan of the Google self-driving car. Self-driving and car sharing seem like the future of the automobile.
For most people not owning a car (and the associated expenses) sounds like a better option.
Bought a 2014 Accord Sport last year after my 530 got rear ended last year and they said it was going to take almost 4 months to repair. Am I the only one amazed at how good the basic family sedan has become or have I turned into one of those old fogy left lane dawdlers?

ParticipantI like this metal one better http://www.airpoweramerica.com/Topsider-MVP-Oil-Changer_p_13.html
It’s got replacement parts you can buy for it too.
Topside vs drain plug is apparently like ios vs android or something. I guess it all depends on the cars you have. Yeah it doesn’t cost that much more to pay someone to do it
but I’ve grown to dislike waiting around seemingly forever while it’s being done. Nothing like being a grumpy old man…. -
