ParticipantArenter,
My husband & I have always liked the Montemar homes in the Arrowood developement, although we would never spend that kind of money, espcecially given the surrounding area.
But when we first started looking at those homes about a year ago, they started in the $900k range with no upgrades. Now they are going in the mid $700’s with all of the upgrades, including backyard landscaping!
Amazing!
Kind of fun to watch the thing unravel.
My husband and I could never understand why someone would spend a million dollars on a home and the nearist shopping is K-mart, Wal-Mart, and Big lots!novice1027

ParticipantI have it, always have. It doesn’t seem the expensive to me. I think I pay about $280/yr for it. Somewhere in that ballpark. I gives me peace of mind.

ParticipantI stopped eating at buffets the day the guy pulled out his comb and starting combing his hair at the salad bar, all the while his girlfriend was talking about her shingles outbreak!
That was it for me.novice1027
ParticipantBummer,
I just sold mine to a friend for $600. I was glad to get it out of my yard. It was like new, hardly used.
But my friend got hosed, because the charged her 1K to deliver it from Vista to Leucadia.
Guess it all comes out in the wash!novice1027
ParticipantGuess they get drugs that far south!

ParticipantI have live with a HOA for 17 years, and would never live in a neighborhood without one, unless I lived miles away from my cloesest neighbor.
Our dues started around $42/mo and now are $71/mo. I added a deck and had no issues with them. They are fairly leniant sp?. In the past we have had a few Hitler types over the years, but it was still well worth not having the sheets for window coverings, x-mas lights year round, and the dreaded lime green house.
