I like it and I agree. The tensions between the states creates a more balanced country and I would say even more balances states. Its good for the citizens of every state.

Many of us are very surprised (and skeptical) about the vote percentages for Stein. I have a hard time believing that she got so few votes.
Another bog I participate on , which is well represented with posters from around the nation did a poll. Stein got about 3 of 200 votes. Mostly white males in the group as it’s a sports thing. Hillary won though, which was surprising.

I love Mexicans and Mexican Americans but I’d rather have the checks and balances of the united states. Flu made a lot of good points too.

I’m done caring about ’em deplorables. They got who they wanted. If their lives don’t get better, they have nobody but themselves to blame.Garrison Keillor wrote a good article.

This was another Hope and Change election. If people wanted the status quo Hillary would have won in a landslide.
I think this article sort of demonstrates why Hillary Clinton lost. Middle class america that is struggling has a real problem with elitists. I think people are just pushing back against that elitist tone even if some of those policies proposed by the elitists would benefit them.
Just look at how badly most of our predictions were in this thread. We don’t live in swing states and we don’t communicate with the middle class blue collar voter. We honestly just don’t understand how these people think or what concerns they have. If you want to pursue a liberal progressive policy you need to do it without the elitist vibe. If not I think you’ll continue to see the push back we saw last night.
Great post , People who voted out Hillary care more about family and faith and less about hubris filled politics. Get rid of the hubris, quit talking down , and people might listen again. That said, so many being broke and wanting solutions is a big part of it. Probably a false hope and change election, like you say…but you can’t blame people for wanting to try something new.
NotCrankyParticipantTwo deplorables , one got sent home. That’s how my computer sifts it out.
NotCrankyParticipantGood job BG,
Now hopefully the self righteous celebrity, self deluded cosmopolitan types will submit like they should.
NotCrankyParticipant

AN and I had a talk and I sort of agree with him. I’m willing to give Trump a chance.
Maybe he won’t actually do most of the things he says he’s going to do.
We got what we got, and let’s see where we take it.Peace.
im fine with trump. really, you cannot blame the dude for trying to win. i just worry about the nation’s unhappiness. the system is obviously not working for people, bbecause they jettisoned business as usual. maybe this is the start of something good. a new beginning. But i doubt it. i think wealth inequities will only ramp up moving forward, and rage and anger will continue to be growth industries.
in general, disappointment will reign king… america will never be great again, but if we could massively lower our expectations, we could not want to go on shooting rampages or invade other countries and maybe be content.
Your post reminds me of a book I have been perusing but not yet committed to read because is seems painful.
NotCrankyParticipantProbably due for a recession anyway right?
NotCrankyParticipantNice job , Flu.

…….sure that my God! ???? important pieces of grammar missing.
NotCrankyParticipantHarambe is losing, we’re all screwed.
I can find people to be happy for and reasons to be happy about the new president and first gigolo. if Hilary wins. No victory dance for sure.
NotCrankyParticipantA merciful God….. or not ? God works in mysterious ways?
Whose God is winning so far?
NotCrankyParticipantI like some stained and polished slabs too, or decoupage floors.
Go to for basic rentals would be porcelain throughout. 18×18 tiles in the common areas and 12×12 in the bedrooms and bath. The only rental I have now has all porcelain , even in the bedrooms, it’s extremely durable.
