ParticipantSpeak of the devil! I just had someone come to look at fixing up my bathroom and he said he was previously a flipper. Anyhow, he couldn’t do the work I wanted done.

ParticipantMaxim just shut down their San Diego technology center and laid off pretty much everyone… Not Maxim the magazine but Maxim IC, the semiconductor company. I think it’s only about 15 or so people.

ParticipantOne random wild guess I have is that with the falling dollar it will not be as cost-effective to manufacture overseas… So they can get jobs sewing socks, inspecting underwear, assembling parts, etc… the bears will still need someone to put together their socks and underwear and tvs and toys… so I’d say polish up those sewing skills!
I don’t know if all of this is wishful thinking though, that is, wishing that the mofos who put us in this mess are now screwed. Are we gloating?
