Nancy_s soothsayer
ParticipantYes, I was speaking in tongues, deliberately.
Sunset views – tiki torches in red horizon, then unload the house ASAP.
Massive die-off of fish around Contra Costa today. Could be billions of fish -just plain dead. Sunset views and dead fish – wait…hmmmmm, hmmmmm, let me look at crystal ball…..
Dead fish and amazing red-tiki-torched sunsets- are those precursors to a massive quake in California? I don’t want to alarm anybody, I am just asking a hypothetical question.
No need for black helicopters circling my house – I am just asking myself questions, much like speaking in tongues. All I know is that housing “recovery” is dead in San Diego – much like the billions of dead fish in California – that’s what my crystal ball says.
My heart is very heavy over the millions (billions) of dead fish.

ParticipantFor a long while, I have not had the desire to post here, but since this is a popular topic and one I like, I felt the desire to chime in.
Point Loma, Mission Hills, Mt. Helix — most of the houses here have one thing in common: sunset views. The sellers seem willing to discount the prices and move their “alligators” ASAP.
As a soothsayer, I have a sense of knowing why is this the case for some – if not majority of them.
I imagine their tiki torches lighting their backyards while they were enjoying their sunset views. But even the awesome views could not obscure the reality of what they faced. Hence – the huge discounts….Reality bites!

ParticipantThe apathy of the masses seems to bolster the hubris of the government “servants for the public good”. For as long as the salaries and pensions are being doled out to highly paid “public servants”, they don’t care if the next guy is experiencing depression times. There should be a mass-initiated proposition that until a balanced budget is passed, your legislature and state servants should not get their salary. That would make them pass a budget in a New York minute.

ParticipantThis topic I like much!
I bought a house in the middle of two T-junctions like this: [–$*$–]; it has brought me so much good luck, so far. Sometimes I imagine I am the female version of Forrest Gump; destiny keeps dumping blessings and good luck along the way despite long odds. Good karma – please keep them coming.
Now do I have to convince the husband to lop off that young tree nicely growing but facing the front door?
If all the stars align again beautifully, we will close on a second house very near downtown Austin around beginning of November at the lowest-record locked fixed rates at $67/sq ft, brand new, stone/brick elevation, and all-appliances included.
Rationale for buying? The 401K plan has become untrustworthy, in my eyes. The house substitutes as a 401K-savings vehicle from now on.
Wish me luck – oh lucky stars (and PIGGS!)
