A lot of people equate sex with money, in fact it’s real easy to do. I think most “providers” here would feel threatened if someone else was giving there significant other money(goods). So next time you think about “cheating” on your significant other, think how you would feel if someone else was providing for your significant other. Love, now that would be a whole nother topic. Now if single people want to pay for it, then I think that is fine between 2 consenting adults, just remember there is no cure for viral disease yet. It’s coming though, I feel it, pun intended.
moneymakerParticipant
My biggest concern about prostitution is it encourages kidnapping and trafficking. For every unemployed college grad who turns a few tricks to make the rent while seeking a real job, there are probably dozens if not hundreds of girls forced into prostitution against their will, many while underage. It’s an issue where the idealist in me (adults should be allowed to engage in whatever consensual transactions they like) disagrees with the pragmatist in me. Of course, perhaps decriminalization and regulation would help with trafficking. I’m pretty sure the Bunny Ranch doesn’t employ any underage, under duress women. But minimally I would want any decriminalization to get rid of those damn card flickers who line the Strip in Las Vegas. I hate those people.
If the INS would just do their job I’m sure many of them would disappear, since very few of them I suspect are legal residents of this country.
moneymakerParticipantYes I suppose there is always a higher power involved somehow. My wife has so many roses right now I don’t think it would upset her, besides she likes to smell them as well as look at them.
moneymakerParticipantOff the top of my head I would agree with you TG. But. And here’s the big difference in my mind, in the long haul >30 years the SFR is the better buy, to live in or as investment. I can look out my dual pane windows and admire my wife’s beautiful roses, then go outside and cut some off and put them in a vase in the house. With a condo you can admire, but I don’t think the neighbors would appreciate you cutting off “their” roses and taking them into your home. Not saying it isn’t done, but that is how squabbles start with the neighbors. In a condo it is “look, don’t touch” in a SFR you “can touch all you want”.
moneymakerParticipantI would have to side with the tenants. Just one more reason I hate HOA’s
moneymakerParticipantMy suggestion would be to stretch it out to retirement. If you are 40 then a 30 year loan would be fine. There is just something psychological about owning a home outright when you retire that i like. Of course if you can own it outright before then, then that is even better. Just got a 20 year loan @ 3.75% last month and I’m already itching to pay it off sooner, even though i know in my mind that stretching it out would be smarter (at such a low interest rate).
moneymakerParticipantAre you talking taxable rate or actual taxes paid?
Recently heard a person tell me that they paid themselves minimum wage and socked the rest into a retirement account that is not taxable until taken out. Please consult an expert on this as I have no idea how this is done. In my opinion tax rates will be going up so might as well take the hit now.moneymakerParticipantGood post! I’ve noticed more and more when I go to the store these days things actually are made here. I feel a lot better when I’m buying something made locally. So much of the stuff made over seas is cheap and doesn’t last. It’s not the manufacturers fault I feel so much as it is the company that is trying to squeeze each penny. Quality is out there it just seems it’s harder to find.
moneymakerParticipantI won!
Well at least 1 of my tickets was a winner. Just as the odds predict I had 1 winning ticket out of 40.moneymakerParticipantI checked it out a little more (boy was it tough to pick those last 20 sets of numbers, actually only 10, I delegated the other 10) and on CA lottery winnings there is no stae or local taxes and they “only” take 25% for Federal taxes. So better than I thought, of course better save 10% to pay the rest of the federal taxes later on.
moneymakerParticipantIt will definitely get crazy if nobody wins this time! With around 188M tickets purchased last time I’m sure it will be more this time.
moneymakerParticipant“ninaprincess” I believe you are right! Now I myself will not buy more than $40 in tickets because I think it is a pain to go through them looking for winners. The argument about multiple winners, I believe is irrelevant. The odds are the odds. Doesn’t matter how many people play because the more people play the higher the jackpot, right up until the last ticket is sold. During the last round approx. $188 million tickets were sold yet no one won. I’m going to buy 20 quick picks and 20 self picked tickets and will report the results Saturday morning. “Good Luck to all that are going to be playing” and as in the Hunger Games “may the odds be in your favor”.
P.S.- This is the first time in my memory that it really is not a bad idea to play the lottery.
moneymakerParticipantThis thread reminds me I need to check on my Sprint pioneer plan as I don’t think I’ve made a payment on it since 2008, yeah I think I put $20 bucks on it back then. I have a personal phone for “emergency use only”, now my work phone that is different.
P.S.>Just tried checking my bill and they only go back to 2010, so no history of any payment 🙂 ☺moneymakerParticipantWait til 3.14.15 9:36PM
