Yes it turns out there is a 10 day grace period from the time of signing the contract, just found that out, so I would have gotten all my money back. Signed the contract yesterday so I have until the 18th of Dec to change my mind.
moneymakerParticipantNot sure of the underwriter but the company is “Western and Southern”.
moneymakerParticipantThank You FLU,
Was going to post a separate topic but I think this is relevent to the “Fiscal Cliff” concept.Maybe it’s because I’m a long term thinker, sometimes, but when I hear the term fiscal cliff, I think of Greece, which is where we will be soon if we let things continue as is. Letting taxes rise, unemployment payments returning to normal without extensions, will be painful for many but necessary for the government to have any chance to reverse the downward slide. I’m really surprised that there is not an outcry by the masses for unfettered access to 401K plans without penalty.moneymakerParticipantI’d say if you bought in the last 3 1/2 years you will be feeling pretty good in a couple of years.

Why no Vizio TVs?
Nothing wrong with the picture, just have had some bad luck with them lately. Two have gone bad on me in the past year. The first one was of course out of warranty the second one I will be taking back/calling for warranty fix.
moneymakerParticipant
We buy the organic strawberry preserves… what’s the issue with it? My kids like it.
I just don’t like the taste of it.
We also buy the Kirkland brand dog food… so does our vet….
Our dogs won’t eat it.
moneymakerParticipant
Do they sell condoms? I’ll buy condoms there
Better off going to the local 99cent store where you can get 12 for $1.moneymakerParticipantI hope you are correct Enron, otherwise how does a sane person plan anything tax wise.
moneymakerParticipantI more thing I don’t buy at Costco is produce. I’m kinda a meat and potatos kinda guy, but I do realize when prices are too high, ok I will and do buy the bananas.
moneymakerParticipantflu… Didn’t i make that recommendation a while back about getting access to one’s 401K without penalty. Wouldn’t cost the government a dime and would definitely spur the economy on. Did I just end a sentence with a run on?
moneymakerParticipantNot having seen the movie or read a history book in over 30 years I’m pretty sure if any state in the union tried to secede (ok except Alaska or Hawaii) the troops would be called in.
moneymakerParticipantHealth care is more readily available to the “more statused” however I seem to recall quit a few well to do dying lately at relatively young ages, David Copley, Steve Jobs, pick anyone in Hollywood that has died young lately. So in my opinion being statused may actually make one more unhealthy due to obesity/drug use(yes even the legal kind) and bad habits such as drinking and smoking. Of course I could be wrong as I recall seeing a lot of obese people last time I was at Walmart.
moneymakerParticipantEast Texas around Lufkin/Nacodogches is greener, has better hunting and far enough away from Houston to be bearable. I’ve never lived there but my mom and her brother own property there, which is now paying for itself many times over with gas royalties.
moneymakerParticipantLast time I checked the sun was only 93 million miles away, which is just perfect for me. Wouldn’t want it any closer or any further.
