ParticipantJust bought an 40″ electric (with window)today. Seasoned it tonight and am ready to go in the morning. I’m pretty sure I can do ribs, it’s the chicken I’m not so confident about. Anyway the thing is really cool looking even though the reviews are mixed. Got some ranchers reserve baby back beef ribs at Vons for a smoking price! Not sure why meats are so cheap when on sale but I’m going to take advantage.P.S.-it is made in China and goes up to 275 degrees.
ParticipantI opt for no pill. I think the government suffers from the same bureaucrazy as big companies (and yes I did spell it wrong on purpose). I recall a conversation I had with a friend on a public telephone years ago, I mentioned some flagged words and I’ll be damned if “they” didn’t set up a fake address and covertly bring me in(during which time I made it a point to tell them that what they were doing was not constitutional) and the one in charge agreed ( I’m sure he went to law school). What a waste of tax payer dollars. If they had listened comprehensively to the whole conversation ( I think it was a matter of 5 minutes), they could have saved themselves wasted time. The second time they did this (recently) at least they used a good looking girl instead of 2 guys that could have passed for illegal immigrants.

ParticipantI was at some ones house a couple of weeks ago when the misses gets a phone call and starts freaking out. Evidently her god son (who was kidnapped in TJ 2 weeks earlier) was found dead. Now I didn’t know this guy but she said he lived here in the USA and had just gotten a job right before going down there. Sometimes life sucks!
ParticipantFor me personally, no. However since APPL is in the NASDAQ I would think that is what should be used to determine the beta. It is important I think when determining past performance, I like to think of future performance myself.
ParticipantAny idea why Google has a beta of 1.00 for AAPL and Yahoo says .65? Personally, I think I’m going to switch to using Google from now on, although I do like how Yahoo updates automatically and hence has a more accurate display of volume.
ParticipantWhen I say downward trend I’m talking about the past 1 week or so as shown on the 3mo. 6mo. YTD and 1 year charts. Compare chart to chart using Google and Yahoo and you will see what I mean.
ParticipantThanks for the reply HLS. Isn’t the 78% rule for FHA loans, are there any rules for banks? They are asking for 75% LTV on the original loan to remove PMI, don’t remember that upon closing. Still waiting on appraisal!
ParticipantI think I know what they should come up with, an electronic personal assistant. A lot of rich people have personal assistants, so if someone could buy a low priced electronic version they would feel like they are keeping up with the Jones’. I myself suffer from being sidetracked( I think it’s a creative side effect) so if I had an electronic aid to keep me on track and on schedule I think it could be a good thing. Maybe it could be used for drug addicts/alcoholics/criminals(with or without the tracking devices), to remind them what they should be doing( or not doing). Big Brother, that’s what we need. Something like the computer voice in Iron Man.
ParticipantStill waiting on the appraisal! I have a feeling they are not really motivated to save me money. Everything is going to be based on appraisal. If it doesn’t appraise high enough to get rid of the PMI, then I’ll wait a bit longer.

ParticipantPerhaps Apple itself is selling stock to invest in production of new iphone5s. Don’t know, but a PE below 9 for Apple screams under valued to me.
ParticipantAs long as there are rich people around to over spend on laptops, tablets, phones, then Apple will continue to sell their stuff. That’s where my faith lies. I will buy more if I can in the near future. Today just reinforces my disbelief in Apple having a beta of .666
