Well it’s an even numbered day so the markets will probably be up. Anybody else feeling like this is a financial roller coaster for little kids?
moneymakerParticipantThe first one says wired for ATT Digital Life, which is home security I believe. I thought all the new security stuff was wireless. Yes those prices are an eye opener for those of us with fixed monthly mortgages or not.

moneymakerParticipantFixing it up will get you a higher price. I personally think it is a waste for the sellers to put in new turf and the buyers rip it out to xeriscape, but hey it creates jobs right! Also putting in beautiful laminate only to have owners rip it out later (happened to me) is somehow just wrong or so it seems. I’ve seen where spending 5k can get you 20k more but one never knows. Banks never put money into a house they sold, but I have seen dumps fixed up really well and if it was my neighborhood that would be want I would want you to do. Personally I would do everything except the kitchen, people are just to hard to predict in what they want for a room that most don’t even end up using much.

moneymakerParticipant30 year treasury at 2.68% now, what will it be at the end of the day?
moneymakerParticipant

Wait, why is the epa “unconstitutional”?
It has the potential to create and enforce laws extra-judicially and outside of the constitutionally stated process (laws are supposed to be written/enacted by Congress, signed by Pres, reviewed by Judicial). There is a somewhat accepted sidestep that Congress enacted the EPA, so it is now allowed, though still is a question whether the EPA can create laws in and of itself outside of Congress.
The military has its own legal system, with courts, judges, prisons, and even the death sentence.
All because of a law passed by congress.
The EPA is no different. It was granted authority within a certain scope by congress. Congress can also take that authority away. Government wouldn’t work if congress had to approve every detail of every organization.
The military does violate the constitution by allowing double jeopardy which is expressly denied in the 5th amendment.
moneymakerParticipantAll the car commercials were tastefully done in my opinion. The others seemed like a waste of money to me, also noticed at least 3 unsold spots.
moneymakerParticipantDon’t know if I know any drugs addicts that work a full time job, I suspect the only ones that do successfully are drug dealers, until they are caught. I personally think most doctors are legalized drug dealers so I try to steer clear of them. ” Take the bitter herb, it is restorative”.
moneymakerParticipant
BTW: guys. I’m thinking that I’ll probably make this coin buy thing regularly…Are you guys buying the fisch, as was suggested earlier?
It’s kind of expensive around $300 if you get the complete package…
Then again, it might not be a bad idea…
$169 for a piece of plastic, no thank you!
moneymakerParticipantMegyn Kelly is on CBS right now with Stephen Colbert!
moneymakerParticipant
Do you mean 15 years was at 2.25% or 30 at 3.25%?
I hope rates keep on dropping, but at the moment, it’s still higher than my current rate.
I was talking treasury rates which are linked to mortgages, I like to look at the 10 year treasury as far as comparisons because mortgages involves points and fees which makes them a little harder to compare. Obviously the 10 year treasury is less than the 30 year treasury.
moneymakerParticipant
Moneymaker, you caused me to read more about the Nixon pardon on wikipedia.
Ford issued a proclamation pardoning Nixon for crimes he had or may have commited and that was the end of it.I don’t think future president can reverse a pardon.
Wikipedia mentioned something about accepting the pardon, Is acceptance necessary? I’m not clear how that works, but I’d be interested in understanding the legal mechanics.
According to what I read in order to be pardoned you actually have to be convicted of something first, he was never convicted that I know of.
Did you know that Congress has not jailed anybody for contempt since 1934? Might be time to do it again. I’m talking about the drug gauging thing.
moneymakerParticipantI was wondering myself if the 30 year will continue it’s downward trend? It was at an all time low OCT 31 of 2014 when the 30 year was at 2.25% according to yahoo charts.
