Not sure why I’m posting. This is what I would do. Keep your current house as a rental, I assume you have made friends in the neighborhood, have them keep an eye on it. I would rent in the new area until you have learned the neighborhhods. If the new job doesn’t work out you can always move back to beautiful southern california, just that thought alone should balance out the discomfort of having strangers in your home. But above all “just let go” and do want you want to. How’s that for confusing advice.

moneymakerParticipantI could be wrong but I thought the government did nothing (other than the works program) during the last Depression. You are right about the reselling that banks do,in which case they make their 1-2% upfront right away, once again though if they don’t loan they don’t make that 1-2%,and yes I was including that in the first 5 years statement.

moneymakerParticipantFeel really lucky to have a job and being recently promoted(with a raise). As soon as I buy my house I’ll have to have a kegger, so that I can spread my good fortune.Unfortunately it probably won’t be in Temecula. Anyone know some good keg beers?

moneymakerParticipantLast time I was at Walmart (usually not a pleasant experience) I looked at the 2 things I was buying and was pleasantly surprised to see that they were made in the USA. Now this was while in line, I did not select them based on this, but I sure felt better after noticing. Kind of like going to the gym,it fells better afterward. I will be taking my reading glasses with me from now on and look for made in the USA, just like me.I understand the lower labor argument, but in times of automation, I would love to see more things made here.
