ParticipantI’ve had 2 inspections done in the last year and I’ll have to say I didn’t learn anything I didn’t already know. So I think alot of it depends on who is asking for the inspection. Most people have no clue what is holding up their house, so for most people it is probably money well spent. I personally will never have another one done, one guy didn’t/wouldn’t even crawl under the house. Ask a prospective inspector if he is willing to do this,if not keep looking!

ParticipantI personally drive a diesel people’s car. I think given the current government situation this is the most appropriate car to drive today. In case you don’t know that would be a VW Jetta TDI.

ParticipantYes you’re done for! But if it will make you feel better I think it’s more like 50% of houses fall out of escrow. If you think it’s bad now, wait till your backup offer gets accepted then escrow takes twice as long as you thought it should and you get scared that you too might fall out of escrow. That’s when things get tense.

ParticipantI’ve had some close calls with Craigslist. I am honest and expect others to be also. Unfortunately many people that advertise on craigslist just cannot be trusted. Always print out the ad and take it with you, there is a lot of switch/bait going on. I generally always come out ahead because I’m a natural at fixing things and making lemonade.
