and your ad hominem attacks are pathetic zika!
mixxalotParticipantBoth of you two need to get a room and chill out. Between BG and zika, it looks like childish behavior.
mixxalotParticipantquit being such a crybaby zika! Go bite some more mosquitos lol.
mixxalotParticipantAgree and dedicating an entire forum post to shaming one poster is a bit extreme IMHO. That nonsense should be taken offline.
Not defending our lovely BG but still not cool.
mixxalotParticipantGetting popcorn and watching from the sidelines 🙂
mixxalotParticipantCorrect, I work for a bay area company and based as telecommute employee. Fortunately, I get a bay area salary and have lower living costs here in San Diego than the bay area. I have San Diego tech firms all the time trying to lowball me for jobs. Pay here sucks compared to what bay area firms pay. And the commute would be hell.
I wonder how engineers afford to buy a home here? A 100k salary does not compute into even a tiny 2-3 condo down payment and mortgage payment.
mixxalotParticipant+1 and also a lot of developments in El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, and Lakeside. I can only imagine the hellish commute becoming Dante’s Inferno in the future on the 8 and 52!
mixxalotParticipantHmm maybe BG, zk and pri dude can get a room together or do an online Celebrity Deathmatch showdown? Now, that would be funny!
mixxalotParticipantGo BG!!!!
I wish folks here would just focus on real estate and investment topics and not these emotional attacks.
mixxalotParticipantMy stocks are doing better than real estate returns and are more liquid. Plus jobs are not secure and if a bigger paycheck was offered elsewhere, its easier to do so when renting than owning. The opportunity cost of 100k is better invested right now in high growth stocks than real estate where it is sunk into a downpayment. I will wait this time and hopefully it bursts when the Fed finally decides to raise rates.
mixxalotParticipantTrue but it is a bubble and I’d rather buy stocks and wait the bubble out til it pops in few years. It crashed before and will again once the speculators are out.
mixxalotParticipantI disagree. Renting allowed me to move to Bay Area and work there a few years to rake in a lot of cash before moving back to SD. It’s way less expensive now to rent than buy. It’s another bubble.
mixxalotParticipantIn same boat and have decided to wait. Prices are sky high right now and inventory supply poor. I don’t see much under 800k in decent areas.
mixxalotParticipantWhere’s BG? She loves a good argument, lol!
