Participant
But I like the top tier wines. If we could figure out a way to get in to Sea Smoke that is where we would spend the weekend.
Having a Sideways weekend with my best and oldest friend. Great dinner plans too. Original Hitchin Post in Casmalia, Ballard Inn and Bradley Ogden’s restaurant in Solvang (Root 246).
Golf at LaPurisma and some oceanfront course in Santa Barabara.
Did we miss anything?
Sandpiper is Santa Barbara’s Torrey Pines. Great course.
The Rancheros are in town this weekend. Always good for some entertainment.
Here’s some local events if you need something else to do:

I’ve never had any Sea Smoke wines. They must be relatively new. I grew up in the SYV and have been returning there to visit family for 20 years. I always spend a few days making the rounds of the wineries when I make a trip up there and always come home with at least a case of wine.

Participant
Melville is also on my list with Fiddlestix, Blackjack Ranch, Palmina, Alma Rosa and Foley.
Foley is OK but their top tier wines are kinda on the high side–they do make some nice pinots though
Bridlewood is about a mile as the crow flies from where my mom lives and they make some great wines.
I’m very fond of Sunstone (been a club member for years) and Beckman. Both make great Rhone varietals; Beckman makes some interesting single vintage varietals (Marsanne, Rousanne) with grapes that are usually used in blends.

ParticipantI ditched my landline a few years ago. I kept it mostly for safety reasons–I never made any calls on it. Local toll calls, long distance calls…why even bother when I can call virtually as much as I ever would want to talk on my cell phone at no additional cost.
The thing that finally convinced me (other than the close to $30 monthly bill) was the non stop telemarketing calls and the flood of messages on my answering machine from Ahnold or some other concerned party hoping to persuade my vote.
I tried multiple times to add my number to the DNC list. Never seemed to make a difference.

I wish I was CPU bound, but it’s mainly disk at this point. The makefiles (yeah, I know…Makefile, not ant or maven) do massive copies and recopies… (Don’t ask me, ask google)
Makefiles…ouch. You guys have a continuous integration server setup somewhere? Use your local machine for module builds and have your CI server do full builds?
Ha ha ha. CI… That’s a good one. No, unfortunately, my private stuff has no CI (yet)..
No, I don’t work for google. Just use their opensource project(s). And my builds are for private project use. So I have a server at home that does builds and one for the road. I spend more time with me and laptop than me and server.
You don’t need to work for google to use CI 😉
You should setup a SCM/CI server to host your code and do your builds. If you only have a copy of your code on your laptop you are just setting yourself up for pain. I’ve had 3 harddrive failures on development machines over the last couple of years. If I didn’t have my code in SCM on another machine (that is backed up) I’d have been screwed.
