OTOH, you must admit that some cultures (including many/most Asian and European) value and have access to better educational opportunities than people coming from most Latin American or African countries. For the blacks who are descendents of slaves, there are some legitimate reasons to try and help them up more than those who come from more educated cultures/countries.
That explains why so many of the dirt poor Lost Boys of the Sudan have immigrated to the states, completed college and gone on to have successful careers.
The only problem that your ‘descendants of slaves’ have is a cultural victim identity. Their lack of success or opportunity is everyone’s fault but their own, right? Bullshit.
I propose an experiment. Let’s take a page from Obama’s book and go to the poor areas of this country and ‘spread the wealth around’. We’ll give $200k cash to every man, woman and child and come back in 5 years and see how things are. I suspect that they will look exactly like they do now. Oh, some will have some new bling and you’ll see a few new cars but you’ll probably see most of the same faces, just 5 years older. What you probably WON’T see is people using this money to start businesses, put themselves through school or in many cases, buy themselves a house.

Let me get this straight, you claim yourself to be a Democrat, but you hate the bailouts that majority of the Democrats in congress support.
TheBreeze is one angry loony tune. Based on his responses in this thread alone, it’s clear that he knows absolutely NOTHING about how to run a business, including the one he works for.
I’ll have more respect (when you are in the basement, there’s only one place to go) for him when I hear that he’s met his first payroll and paid his first corporate tax bill. Until then, his monikor reflects the copious amount of hot air that he spews forth.

Fannie and Freddie ~ $5 trillion
Too bad that half of your $10 trillion figure is for two GSE’s that the evil Republican’s have been trying to regulate for at least 8 years. Your beloved Democratic caretakers resisted additional regulations (and even denied there was a problem) as recently as 2006.
Whose policies are we vilifying again?
Yeah, don’t let the truth get in the way of your story.
