    Go on craiglist, there are bunch of short sales and banked owned properties already, I don’t think that’s a good sign for that area.

    My point exactly, it isn’t so great. Infact, it seems down right scarey. Plus living off the backs of the impoverished seems evil, and that you would likely be singled out for being a greedy, rich American.

    Though I am sure it is lush and green, the beaches and more rural parts a tropical paradise.

    I know and have heard stories about how cheap it is in the Phillipines to live, everyone has a maid and you can live on your retirement and all. If it is so great, why do SO many Phillipino’s move to America?

    I knew that, but my question was really more about how many people would be reading that and thinking now is the time to buy, we hit bottom, versus how many really know San Diego is in a slump that could be long and very ugly.

    I think more people in San Diego read MSN than Piggington.

    I am curious about exactly what you mean. Why do you think 2008 will be worse, if it looks like 2007 “could” actually be slightly better than 2006?

    I inherited a mobile home in a senior park, they reasessed it. I got it free and clear, gave it to my mom. They waved some fees for transfer from parent to child.

    If the property was purchased prior to chapter 13 you inherit the low taxes, of course.

    I was wondering if anyone knows what the month’s supply of housing is for San Diego County. Has it improved like they are claiming?

    Say what you will, but with the foreclosers skyrocketing, and job losses,unemployment rising,ARM’s reseting, interest rates that won’t come down, soaring inventory,sluggish market………I AM OUTTA HERE!(If my house sells)

    I see the tide has gone out, the sea is gone,fish flapping in the sand, I am headed for HIGHER ground, TSUNAMI!!!!
