Participantwalking away from your home when you can afford it is VERY UNETHICAL, but only because the taxpayers are now bailing out the banks because of it.
IF taxpayers were not involved in any way and the system was 100% freemarket, i.e. banks would take losses and shut down then I see absolutely no problem with walking away…it is between the borrower and the bank.
But because of the bailouts this is affecting everyone now so yes it is unethical.

ParticipantPeople don’t take personal responsibility for their health. It’s the same entitlement attitude that is prevelant now… they want to do anything that they please and want government to take care of them if there are negative consequences to their actions.
How many Americans are working out at least 30 mins a day? How many are avoiding a pattern of eating unhealthy foods or moderating their intake of alcohol? These days I even seen children 10 or 11 years old obese due to irresponsible and careless parents.
Unfortunately the system just cannot handle so many people getting sick, it is just not possible. How is it that in the 50s and 60s we did not have a health crisis yet we do have one now despite medical technology improving by leaps and bounds? Something does not add up here.

ParticipantCDs are a waste right now, why lock your money into a CD when you can get 2.5% with the BOFI Advantage savings with full flexibility? Besides interest rates look like they will move up within the year since they cannot go any lower anyway.
