Participant
Yeah, I have to admit, skyranch is pretty nice.
I have a cop friend that lives there’s and the few times we get together, it’s a nice fun drive there from where I live.
The view from up there is worth a lot and Santee has become a nice town with newer malls.

ParticipantThe real problem in this whole pandemic was the absolute lack of any real leadership from the White House. The President’s sole interest was, and continues to be his re-election. Consequently, he conducted this pandemic by buck passing and scapegoating. It didn’t work and it isn’t working now. Doctor Birx may be a competent expert but she continuously treated the President with the obsequiousness he demands, never really telling the whole story, or emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. Dr. Fauchi was the only one who persisted in telling the truth. Now, Trump and his cohorts are trying to vilify Fauchi, who has worked for 6 presidents, both Republican and Democrat. Now Trump is trying hard to pretend that everything is fine. He won’t wear a mask or advise others to wear a mask. He won’t social distance and he doesn’t want tests. Many Republican governors, Trump clones all, do the same. Meantime cases and deaths are rising.

ParticipantI had clearplex on my 911 turbo s for 2 years. It looked good for about a year and the second year it was pretty scratched up but I just sold the car or I would have removed it. I suppose the new owner will be happy about his or her perfect windshield. I guess it helps with chip protection but would you EM rather look at scratches or small pits.

ParticipantTrump & his administration are responsible for our lack of preparedness & now he lies.
1.. Trump shut down the entire Global Health Security and Bio-defense agency. Yes, he did.
2.. In 2018 Trump fired Homeland Security Advisor Tom Bossart, whose job was to coordinate a response to global pandemics. He was not replaced.
3.. In 2018 Dr. Luciana Borio, the NSC director for medical and bio-defense preparedness left the job.. Trump did not replace Dr. Borio.
4.. In 2018, at Trump’s direction, the CDC stopped funding epidemic prevention activities in 39 out of 49 countries including China.
5.. In 2019 the NSC’s Senior Director for Global Health Security and bio-defense, Rear Admiral Tim Ziemer, left the position and Trump did not replace him.
6.. Amid the explosive worldwide outbreak of the virus Trump proposed a 19% cut to the budget of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention plus a 10% cut to Public Health Services and a 7% cut to Global Health Services. Those happen to be the organizations that respond to public health threats.
7.. Trump declined to use the World Health Organization’s test like other nations.. Back in January, over a month before the first Co-vid19 case in the U.S., the Chinese posted a new mysterious virus and within a week, Berlin virologists had produced the first diagnostic test.. By the end of February, the WHO had shipped out tests to 60 countries.. Oh, but not our government.. We declined the test even as a temporary bridge until the CDC could create its own test.. The question is why?. We don’t know but what to look for is which pharmaceutical company eventually manufactures the test and who owns the stock.. Keep tuned.
8.. Trump didn’t appoint a doctor to oversee the US response to the pandemic. He appointed Mike Pence.
9.. Trump has on multiple occasions sowed doubt about the severity of the virus even using the word HOAX at events and rallies. He even did it at an event where the virus was being spread. Trump has put out zero useful information concerning the health risks of the virus.
10.. Trump pretended the virus had been contained.

Nobody in the right state of mind would spend so much money on a lousy location like this!July 10, 2020 at 9:50 PM in reply to: the reopening of america is a pivotal historical moment? #818751kcal09
ParticipantDJT has failed miserably to lead us through the pandemic. Instead, he is only focused on the economy which he believes is linked to his chances to get reelected.

ParticipantSkyranch was definitely a hidden gem back in 2009. Not many people were willing to spend the kind of money then because of the stigma living in Santee (“Clantee”).
Someboy was even complaining about going downhill and wearing out his breaks…
Now Santee has become a very nice suburban city with many newer stores and the prices have gone up nicely!kcal09
ParticipantBuffet style restaurants will be out at least for the next year or two due to COVID-19. In fact, many regular restaurants will be gone for good when this crisis is over. The profit margin of restaurants were slim to begin with and with the new social distancing rules many places have to adjust the seating to half or quarter capacity to meet the stricter requirements.

ParticipantThese condos are clearly overpriced as you can buy a house or condo in La Jolla for the same price/sqft.
Also, most Chinese prefer to buy homes and shop around for good bargains. I doubt that they will buy these condos.
