Aimloan.com looked the the cheapest from my research, but I was nervous of such small houses, perhaps needlessly.

Everybody else can be an idiot. Only the tailgunner matters. The lay of the cards at that point makes the decision.
I have no idea what you all are talking about…baseball and airplanes?
Lets just say, the elation of winning is less fun than the terror of losing, so gambling isn’t much fun for me.
jstoeszParticipantI rarely appreciate commentators on news articles. Actually, I never do. But this one at the top was actually cogent and is quoted in full below.
“Some questions left unanswered in that story:
– She had a “nine-year gambling spree” that started after the death of her hubby in 1994. So, that lasted until 2003! Why did the case go to court only now, in 2012?
– She sold a hotel for 7 millions in 2009. Why hasn’t she repaid the money to the charity?
– Since her gambling spree only lasted from 1994 to 2003, why should her brain surgery in 2011 be related to that at all?
– She left the charity broke. Why didn’t anybody notice this at once, and it had to be the IRS to uncover her gambling addiction?Only some of a lot of questions that the story leaves unanswered. All in all, yet another example of nowaday’s “journalism” that focusses on stenographing soundbites without much concern about the coherence of the report. Some actual thinking and investigating would be highly appreciated.”
jstoeszParticipantwell if you believe the supreme court is infallible (like the pope), then clearly all of it is constitutional…
jstoeszParticipantI think we can all agree that those who are for reducing the size of the federal government are not talking about building less roads.
I am guessing it has more to do with the other 98% of the federal budget that people are interested in cutting…
jstoeszParticipantI started looking for stats on long term disability. I entered such a morass of depression, I knew I could not continue working for the day if I went down that path. On the bright side at least I can now qualify for long term disability on account of my depression.
bringing up infrastructure in the federal budget is a red herring.
where is infrastructure on this graph?
jstoeszParticipantLooks like in some states at least, some work pays better than others.
jstoeszParticipantman, my new home is really getting fleeced (MN)…for some reason they have a balanced budget though.

Certainly a good bit of this has more to do with population density…an interstate through MT or ND is far more expensive and not necessarily for the states benefit as it is through MD.
jstoeszParticipantOne of them just moved his family out 🙂
Sadly to another liberal state…but it is manageably so, at least for now. They just gave the dems control of the assembly and a dem governor. There goes the 5.8% unemployment rate.
jstoeszParticipant

I am really curious in 4 years to see what the democrats are going to say when the deficit is still massive and the unemployment rivals Detroit. When sacramento can no longer claim its the republicans fault . I guess Michigan still went Blue this time round, so I am not hopeful that anything will change. I just wonder who the knew scapegoat will be for why the state still has a dismal economy. I am putting my money on outsourcing, without the introspection to ask why the jobs left.
All you democratic voters in CA, do you think the states problems will now go away because you have one party rule (a supermajority)?
I believe states should be the test labs of democracy. maybe we will learn something still yet unlearned from liberal states. Anyone care to venture a guess on the CA economic trajectory?
I doubt that in 4 years we will see the unemployment rival Detroit. But I share your worries about CA.
We are already there…assuming you are talking in terms of metropolitan areas…
The central valley is a war zone right now. I can’t tell you how many piles of trash and burned out cars, how many street lights and farm pumps have been pillaged for copper. The coast turns a blind eye to the valley, but it is a swath of destruction to rival any area of michigan.

jstoeszParticipantI never expected such an anti-SD vibe here. I think the lack of character filled quality safe neighborhoods with good schools is really the problem. California has them but they tend to be way outside the price range of the average middle-class person Or even upper-middle-class for that matter. I know San Luis Obispo has such neighborhoods and they’re not quite so outrageously expensive but it seems for California to live the way it should you have to live in a small town. At the end of the day it really comes down to how much you value consistently it good weather. I personally prefer seasons and dramatic weather events, I find it quite interesting. It makes you go out on the days that are perfect sunny 70° and make sure you enjoy the fullness of it, Without taking it for granted. But I can understand why others may not be so sanguine about the weather.
jstoeszParticipantHave you thought of the central coast? San luis obispo feels like how California should be. Friendly, stress free with beauty and an abundance of recreation. It doesn’t have the uppity so cal vibe of santa barbara. Also, better weather than anywhere in San Diego. You could also buy much more than two acres, and they may even come with vines. There is no finer place in the country, I am convinced of it.
jstoeszParticipantI am excited for winter. When I grew up, it was my favorite season. Recreation is the best in the snow. I fear a winter they had last year, where the lakes barely froze and the snow didn’t last. If it is going to be winter, it might as well be winter with all the recreation it provides.
I missed signing up for the birkinbiner by 3 days, 10k people beat me…sad day. It’s a 54k ski race for the west coast folks.
The job is awesome by the way. Man does my brain hurt? It is the first time my brain has been taxed in 5 years. I lose it by 4pm, and turn into a drooling, stammering fool. Before, I stuggled to not be tortured by boredom by the end of the day. Forget defense.
