ParticipantAlso, I am wondering, in these alley-garage communities, are there CCRs about not washing your car? I mean you don’t have a driveway, so where would you do it anyway? Oh well, its probably not eco-friendly with all the brake dust washing away down the alley gutter anyway…

I’m also concerned with the echo factor, the goofball neighbor with a table saw or electric guitar in his garage who keeps his door open while enjoying his precious hobby, or the local drunk who backs into your garage while trying to get out of/into his garage across the narrow alley. Could be issues…

ParticipantWell, your opportunity cost does not factor in what you would have spent on your non-iphone cell phone and plan. Its only the difference that is opportunity lost…unless the iphone is your first cell phone and you would have never gotten one otherwise.
That said, $500-600 up front is too steep for me.

ParticipantYeah in San Marcos, but there is a realtor that always puts Carlsbad in the location box for SEH listings. Lame. And yes, they never seem to go away. I swear some houses have been for sale in there for a year and a half. The venting buyer is right, lower the price or give up. Sheesh.

ParticipantYeah, it reads like it was written by an NAR shill, but the above responses could have been (and more or less were)written on this site 18 months ago. The downturn in the good areas (n county coastal anyone?) has been pretty slow.
I can’t comment on OC or the decent westside LA areas (are there any left?).
