ParticipantSD Realtor,
Yeah, I am still watching the Penara house. Doesn’t look like it will go any where soon.

ParticipantSD Realtor,
I wonder if the Doubletree and Carmel Highland are the same golf course or not?
I am not very familiar with Rancho Bernado? Is there a specific street or area in 92127 or 92128 that is near a golf course? How much are these homes going for right now?
Thanks,

ParticipantI love living near a golf course and most golf course homes are too expensive. This one seems affordable if it is closer to the lower end of the price range. The house looks good even though it was built in 1970. I am not buying right now but if I buy this will be seriously thought about.

Participantsurveyor,
Thanks for the detailed description of the area. I don’t mind the small back yard (less maintenance) and especially like the tennis court because my wife loves tennis and there aren’t many places in Mira Mesa where you can play tennis. However, the parking situation could be a problem for me because i like to have friends and relatives coming occasionally.

ParticipantLa Costa sounds expensive. If HOA fee is not very high and another another 15% off then I think it is a nice place to live.

ParticipantSale History
06/24/2004: $440,000
01/27/1995: $149,500If he has listed this house for $440K earlier this year I think it would have been sold and he can break even.
Base on this condo, it seems like home price has gone back to early 2004 level.

ParticipantWarren Buffet predicted this whole thing 2 years ago when he purchased $20 Bil Euros for his funds.
I was in Thailand 2 weeks ago for my honeymoon and Europeans were getting ~47 Baht for 1 Euro while I was getting ~34 Baht for a dollar. The reverse is true 4 years ago.

ParticipantYeah, showing removed properties seems to be a new feature of SDLOOkUP. I like it.
