ParticipantCan you hear the traffic from Mira Mesa Blvd since it is about half a block away? Kitchen and bathrooms are newly upgraded so it is a plus.
This deal in Mira Mesa will make anything else seems overpriced.

ParticipantYeah, like the city has money to hire more firefighters.
Pay half the rate of what firefighters get right now and you have a few thousand resumes in one day.
“Anyone who thinks it’s easy or who thinks they can do a better job is welcome to sign up.”

ParticipantMy coworker, a maintenance worker, fell through the roof and died last year and I believe his maintenance job is much more dangerous than police work. Of course, no body except his relatives and my coworkers know about this.
Here is the list of the jobs that are more dangerous than police:
pilots, truck and bus drivers, captains, crane operators, sailors, construction laborers, carpenters, roofers, operating engineers, iron and steel workers, farmers and ranchers, construction managers, executives, retail sales, cashiers, sales representatives, door-to-door sales, real estate workers, telecommunications installers, mechanics, computer repairers….

ParticipantMost, if not all, credit union ATMs are free for Credit Unions members. Just look for that Co-Op Network Triangular Sign.
I used to bank with my Credit Union and Bofa. Three months ago they want to charge me a monthly fee, I immediately told them that I want to close the account. They said they will give me a 1 year grace period for being a good customer. Once the 1 year grace period is over, I will cancel for sure if they don’t extend it.
