ParticipantFlu; Brilliant post to Nina and spot on.
I won’t be buying FB for those exact reasons.
However, one thing that is really interesting about FB is the data. Realtime, self described, lifestyle info, personal demographics on tons of people. Best marketing research avail. Put conspiracy hat on and that data would be valuable to insurance co, medical policies, government, etc. And very targeted ads which we haven’t seen yet ( i believe). So while not a Google, it will prove to an evolving co. And volital stock.

ParticipantAs mentioned, marriage is religious ceremony. Civil unions bridge the gap for those not wishing to comply with religious requirements but want the legal benefits.
Gay marriage will eventually be voted in. Not because of equality, no difference as man/women union, etc, but simply that they gay activists will have worn down their opponents to the point of, screw it, let’s move on.

ParticipantI make the drive to Camp Pendleton and give to their thrift store.
The Marines have a resource center whereby they give food and stuff to needy Marines. Diapers are always welcomed.
It is in a different building than the thrift store which they can show you better than I to describe here.
It will bring a tear to your eye to know little these soldiers are paid and how appreciative they are and mind you, they never complain.
Navy has similar programs in National City base.

ParticipantIf my kid just died, the last thing on my mind would be trademarking his name.
Peace out until we have a proper ‘legal’ investigation. Allan nailed, btw.

ParticipantC-mon. Where else can you pay a buck and buy several days of dreaming? Cheaper than drinking π
True that it plays on the folks who probably really need that money. No offense intended Nina, just a sweeping generalization.

ParticipantYou just missed it. SkyRanch just sold out. It was just 10 min from the beach and was having a fire sale. Maybe there are some for sale now. It is in Santee if you Google it.

ParticipantGreat comments, thanks all. I was dwelling on the worst case situation if I had to evict and wives became friends, etc. Just need to be extra prudent in tenant selection. and I’ll watch the cocktails π
