ParticipantAlthough they are in a tough position of their own doing (largely) I can’t help but feel some sympathy. I can only imagine how tough this can be on a family unit…
Take heed from this everyone and learn that conservative financial responsibility is ALWAYS a better plan when it comes to you and your family.

ParticipantFor someone that took out that much on a HELOC they sure didn’t use it to improve the house. What a dump.

ParticipantI found “Super Size Me” really enlightening on how bad the fast food industry is for the health of people.

ParticipantIn regards to our project we are advocates for higher denisty housing and the project has it. As the project moves north (and gains significant elevation) we go to lower density just a small area of single family homes. That is to tie into the single family homes of Serra Mesa to the north. That is also something the residents to the north want. The project will also have a direct connection to the trolley station to the south. Regarding the standalone gym, that is just a conceptual and certainly doesn’t mean it will happen at this point.
One thing I am very excited about is that we are going to be the first LEED certified site. Up to know there have been LEED certified buildings but we are the first pilot project for the LEED site certification.

ParticipantPerryChase,
First phase of this project is going to be in late 2009 most likely. The first phase will have some office, retail and residential. It will be on the lower left corner of the side. Then we will move slightly east and north as time goes on with the far east side of the site the very last in 15 or so years. It’s a long process but we are putting together something very special I think.

ParticipantMake sure you ask the tough questions like:
“Why did you put yourself into a loan you KNEW you couldn’t afford?”
or
“Did you realize the implications when you took all the equity out of your house to buy that jet ski and motorhome?”
