ParticipantWe might be heading for a really bad day. To summarize:
1. Asian markets tanked
2. Dollar continues to suck
3. Countrywide had to borrow $11.5 billion from banks to fund operations
4. Housing starts lowest since 1997
5. Unemployment is up 6000 unexpectedlyGreat.

ParticipantAnyone else finding the slow motion unraveling of the world economy somewhat disturbing? I can just see US consumer consumption falling off a cliff and sending China into serious recession. Or worse, their markets take a tumble and the peasants who invested their life savings in the market (and thus lost it) protesting the government for not taking care of them…

I can just see US consumer consumption falling off a cliff and sending China into serious recession. Or worse, their markets take a tumble and the peasants who invested their life savings in the market (and thus lost it) protesting the government for not taking care of them…

ParticipantI am in a house that was purchase for way too much with nothing (5%) down on an ARM that is going to adjust soon. Needless to say I am just waiting for the call to come. Nothing yet on foreclosure.com though.
Worst past is the owner is a mortgage broker with Downey Savings. I don’t even know if he is still employed.

ParticipantWhy set a tight trailing stop sell if you are holding the ProShares for the longer term? I think the market will continue to sink over the next few months so what do I care about the occasional spike here and there? Thoughts?
