USAA is great if you qualify. We ended up getting a better policy from Travelers though as we needed Builders Risk for our remodel and they were cheaper. Wawanesa’s quote was high although they are a *GREAT* company.

The only caveat is that you can’t have it removed in the first 12 months.

It was a nightmare fraught with providing a ridiculous amount of information and TWO hack appraisers. But we closed. Subsequent to that I am dumping all the cash into a remodel right now… Hopefully will be able to get the PMI off at the end of the first year term.
