Can we just stop with the putting a certain political party in one bucket and the other in another. I consider myself conservative but certainly don’t subscribe to the “Rich GOOD Poor Bad” philosophy. I do however subscribe to the _FACT_ that corporations and owners of the corporations create jobs that employee those who make less money.

To answer your point though…why should the bank help Bob if he actually has the money in hand. In fact why should Bob even consider keeping his house if the only way he can is by divesting his 401k.

If you can no longer afford your house…then you can no longer afford it. A certain percentage of people should be renters…and might always be renters. That is just the way it goes.

The fact is 99% of the people out there getting loan mods should not be getting them. Fact many go right back into default months down the road. Fact it prevents the adjustment is prices that NEEDS to happen for the housing market to move forward. FACT it just is creating a nation of people living in debt prison for the next 30 years of their lives.

1. A bunch of guys flew planes into two buildings in New York.

2. Or blew up a bunch of trains in Spain.

3. Or just today said if they got Pakistan’s nuclear weapons they would use them against us.

4. Or are trying to acquire nuclear weapons and plan to fire a ballistic missile towards Hawaii.

Of course not. If we just stick our heads in the sand and don’t activity take a roll in the world today all of these problems will go away.

I mean afterall we should all behave like Neville Chamberlain. That really worked out well for Europe.

Look I am no surpport of George Bush. He did plenty wrong. But Obama is trying to use the current situation to push through a huge program of increase government spending and doing it at a time when everybody is more worried about paying their bills then focusing on what Washington is doing.

We *CANNOT* run ourselves in tens of trillions of dollars of debt and expect it to work.

With all that said I think everyone in DC doesn’t give a crap about us and that being a politician has become more about getting re-elected than serving the country.

We all (Us Piggs at least) saw this coming…People on the high end continue to be over-leveraged to the hilt. I know more than one couple having marital “difficulties” because of finances.
