I concur with this idea, my opinion is we are in the 8th inning before the next pause occurs. Perhaps another catalyst will appear to extend the game.
April 24, 2017 at 3:42 PM in reply to: Chula Vista; if I don’t buy now will I be shut out forever? #806330givdrvrParticipantNo market I have seen goes up forever. We seen multiple stimulus applied to our housing in sequence. First ZIRP, and tax rebates. Then more ZIRP and cash investors. then more cash investors and foreign investment. etc etc. Finally, real job growth and household formation if not wage growth has appeared. This train will stop climbing at some point. Unless another catalyst appears on the scene, my personal opinion is we are within 10-15 percent of the price top.
givdrvrParticipantGlobal trade is currently contracting with services leading the way, goods will follow, lead by the EU desires to punish UK over Brexit and Trump tariffs. The economy is not the stock market but at certain point the two reflect each other IMHO.
givdrvrParticipantnot a political post just an economic observation…
If Trumps’s protectionist policies are enacted and create a nationalist knee jerk reaction worldwide then the risk of a Smoot-Hawley like deep recession is very high.

November 11, 2016 at 12:46 AM in reply to: Electoral College: the disenfranchisement of Californians #803519givdrvrParticipantElectoral College workaround already underway. Eliminating the Electoral College does not even require a constitutional amendment. An effort known as The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is an agreement among numerous U.S. states and the District of Columbia to award all their respective electoral votes to whichever presidential candidate wins the overall popular vote in those states. Once states totaling 270 electoral votes join the compact–which only requires passing state laws– then the next presidential election will be determined the the popular vote, not the Electoral College.
As of November 9, 2016, ten states and the District of Columbia have signed the compact, totaling 165 electoral votes. So, we are already over 60% of the way there. Pending in PA and WI for another 36 EC votes if adopted by those states.
August 22, 2016 at 5:13 AM in reply to: OT: Chinese Airline Companies offering $300k+ for pilots…. #800785givdrvrParticipantMost pilots flying for US Carriers would not see 300K until 20+ years on the job. These Chinese jobs are game changers because the employer is paying the employee’s income tax bill, effectively they are earning 450K+ compared to US pilot colleagues.
givdrvrParticipantCongrats on your aquisitions Jazzman! What vehicles did you use to find your dream home in France?
givdrvrParticipantNicely done. So as someone who is in the early stages with this lender if my appraisal comes lower than 80% LTV they can adjust this if I press the issue?
