ParticipantPlease try to stay away from Mor, Jeromes, Ashley, etc., for your sake, in my opinion.
Try:
http://davisworld.com/store/We love Bob Davis. Makes you feel like you’re doing business in some Norman Rockwell town sixty years ago.
It is a catalogue operation for most furniture so you can’t beat the prices. We got furniture with dovetail construction(versus just staples and glues) for less than the places mentioned above charge for junk — again, in my experience and opinion.
Also, we got a REAL handmade mattress that just puts the Seally, Serta, stuff to shame, in my opinion.
I don’t think anyone will regret stopping by to check things out.

ParticipantWhen we bought our current house about seven years ago we had it finished with tile in every room, including closets. We then bought a gazillion of those wool rugs Costco was selling (made in India). They allow you to clean UNDER the carpet, which is, IMO, essential after pulling up the carpet in our condo a few years ago.
We will NEVER go back to carpet. When we build our next house you can be sure the floor will be some sort of stone — everywhere.
We wear slippers around the house BTW, and have two dogs.
YMMV.

ParticipantThat’s nothing! Now the Democrat state legislators will only need a bare majority to pass a budget thanks to clueless California voters. The next five years should reveal even more dramatic deficits.
