ParticipantI think TK might be right…I may have been mistaken about Spring Valley. From what I remember, at least a portion of the community is not La Mesa school district – either LG or SV.
With all the homes being bought near the peak when creative financing was flourishing, I can’t imagine there won’t be a lot more short sales/foreclosures in this neighborhood.

ParticipantI liked the smallest model of these homes – 2,077 sf. If they came down to the high $300k – low $400k range in the La Mesa school district side of the development (vs. Spring Valley), I’d consider buying one.

I can’t imagine what would happen to prices if even a small portion of the shadow inventory everyone speaks of were to hit the market.
I’m with John, I think San Diego will see another significant drop in prices over the next 12-24 mos, at least in the mid to upper price range where rent/own fundamentals are still so far out of whack.
