ParticipantNot to mention that the BRIC countries are still living on an “export to the USA” economic model right now. Considering that US consumers arnt in a buying mood right now, that isnt the best economic model to have.
Not saying they cant get off it, but itll take some adjustments. If you are investing in these countries, watch out for a very much needed and expected switch to domestic consumption vs export.DWCAP

ParticipantCan you ask them? I mean, could you ask if they are planning on moving or just sold their house? (Obviously asking if they are running a bank scam prob wont work and will hurt your relations with your neighbors.)

Participant
I agree about the vaccine. The testing time keeps being extended. Is there a problem?
No, just delusional government at its best. Swine flu broke in, what was it(?) late April(?), something like that. Only a politican could actually promise (and believe the promise) that we could identify the virus and its traits, identify a proper way to deliver the vaccine, and then mass produce it and have it safty tested and ready for delivery by September of the same year. Science and our production technology just doesnt move that fast.
As for the OP, virus’s like this have shown a tendency to do really bad things the season after they are first detected. Please see the Spanish Flu outbreak. Shouldn’t the gov try to educate people on healhy habits and treatment options BEFORE there is a problem? Arnt we always ragging on them for not getting ahead of the game when it would have really mattered, and then ragging on them when they missed the boat if they didn’t do the right things in the beginning? I have seen alot more fear mongering from the media than the government personally. I think what you are seeing is a struggling media trying to sell newspapers or bump up ad revinue more than a governement selling doom and gloom to tax you more.
