Yeah, we knew the 500K range on that Mira Lago Way place was never gonna happen but since it’s all we can afford….we’ll you get the idea:>)
We’d been over by our old place on Chardonnay over the holidays and noticed one of the places on Riesling had had a makeover. We used to call it the red house, as compared to the blue house that was for sale across the street. We never imagined that whomever bought the red house would try to flip it…yikes…
The blue house is still for sale? With it’s third agency? Those owners must have nerves of steel – I’d be a basketcase by now. Although, I think you did say once that they had moved out so they don’t have to live with the constant stress of showings, but still.
I’ll try to remember next month to check in with you and see what Mira Lago Way sold for…We’ve seen no sign of the current owners making any moves towards moving so I guess they are waiting for contingencies to be removed. In 17 days I’ll look for boxes to start being packed.

doublewideParticipantI read somewhere that the cap for this rebate plan was combined income of 150K if joint filers. I can’t remember where now, maybe a reuters link? Please forgive my lack of linkage.
My question is, is this 150K in Adjusted Gross Income or
W-2/1099 reporting? Is it based on what you earned in 2006 as reported on your taxes filed in 2007?While I think the whole scheme is a bad idea and nothing but a psychological manipulation, if the government is giving away free money I want to be sure to get mine so I can put it right into our daughter’s savings account.
Thanks for any info. anyone would like to share.

doublewideParticipantI was just thinking about this the other day…
Sure we’re thankful for the usual, a healthy kid, good job, etc. But what really gives me fits is how close we came to being trapped in our house and losing the 20% we’d put down on it in 2004.
So thanks to everyone on this site, Ben Jones’ site, BMIT and others that gave me a “schoolin'” back in Feb. 2006 and allowed us to get ahead of the curve and sell our place.
Also, thanks to someone on this site (was it JWM or TG? I can’t find the post) who mentioned shills on e-bay. I’d never known that sellers have the ability to drive up bids in those last seconds via other identities, but I’d read about it here just prior to bidding on a Transformer’s Optimus Prime toy for my daughter and when “someone” kept outbidding me I just dropped it and gave up…Next day I got a “Second Chance” e-mail indicating the winning bidder was unable to complete the transaction. Poo-poo Head!
Please tell me none of you are getting up at the Butt-Crack of Dawn to line up at Best Buy…My brain hurts from all the early sale hype. All Piggs should stay in bed tomorrow and count their cash (since we all know it’s sewn into our mattresses).
Happy Food Coma Day to all…
