dharmagirlParticipant
I’ve been reading about carpet…YIKES! There is so much I’ve never considered…”off gassing” for example, tufting and the horrors of olefin fibers…oh, my head hurts…
I even read a story that some carpet warranties are null and void if the owner uses a Dyson vacuum (which I use).

dharmagirlParticipantPerhaps I’m being unrealistically optimistic, but I’d like to think we will ride this one out….just as Californians have survived past boom/bust cycles. I know there are mitigating factors here (price of oil, oil dependence, etc.) but I remain staunchly (and perhaps stupidly!) optimistic. Besides, my husband tells me that electric Mini Coopers will be on the market in about a year!
Speaking of cars, it was interesting to drive past a McD’s today (on my way to get some gas) and see about 17 SUVs and/or trucks waiting in the drive-thru lane, windows up, A/C on. Obviously, people aren’t in enough pain yet…wonder if that will happen when gas is $6/gallon??

dharmagirlParticipantHmmmm…maybe your cats call your bird “Tasty Tweet”?
Sorry – I couldnt resist!
I’d love to have a bird – like a parrot or Macaw – but it would drive my cats insane.
And then there’s my husband, of course…I generally have to wait until he goes out of town to acquire new pets. He still has a coronary/aneurysm upon his return, but once something has adapted he is far less resistant….
I cant wait to see a photo of ‘Tasty’ π
