If they all went to UCLA than I can understand why you need to get the tickets cheap……just kidding…(Son is a Baylor Grad) It probably won’t be filled, to many unemployed Bruins….sorry just can’t help myself…..Qualcom sucks, try to get the best seats possible early to enjoy the game. I got tickets from Baylor. The last thing you want to do is end up trying to get some cheap crappy tickets at the last minute. btw, get to the stadium early, even if there is 30K people the traffic will suck. Baylor won’t have a big crowd, maybe 10k, UCLA might get 30K?
Go Bears…………Sic ‘Em….

desmondParticipantThere are things to complain about in life, this is not one of them. Hope you have a better day tomorrow.
desmondParticipantI have been married over 25 years and the talking never ends, so I consider myself a expert……..

Did anyone get a fall vegetable garden in? Thinking about spring?
Gardening makes me feel like a rock star.
OT, does anybody keep seeds in case of the big disaster? I saw that they have a Global Seed Vault for a big global crisis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svalbard_Global_Seed_Vault
desmondParticipantMost of these comments on this post remind me of the way Norv Turner coaches the Chargers. He spends all his time staring at his stupid “Dennys Menu” play chart during the game trying to figure out what play to call next instead of actually watching the game and calling plays based on what is happing on the field and doing something to better the team instead of the same ol thing. Then after the game he makes some pathetic excuse on why they lost again, (like the usual bye bye comments) And you can see how Norv is doing…..

Soon as it gets a little cold out on go the “check tire” lights.desmondParticipantDiego, yes, the kids were born and raised here in SoCal, both attended college in Texas. My son worked in L.A. right after college for a year and transferred to Texas as soon as a territory opened. For young people starting out it is ideal with plenty of opportunities. Our daughter lived out there year round once she started college and stayed when she graduated last May.
desmondParticipantJust got back from a road trip to Houston to deliver some furniture, etc. to my two kids living there. (btw, u-haul is $1600 to Houston but I went with Penske, 16′ for $983). Both are doing well (son was salesman of the 3rd and maybe 4th quarter for his company)daughter also working and dating $$$ texas boy. Anyway, much better quality of life for them out there. Gas was $2.97/gal, rent cheaper, better roads, rest stops, etc. Getting started is crucial in life, saving money and getting ahead for them far outway any petty weather or other concerns. The writing is on the wall here in CA and now has turned to permanent paint.

Just saying.
Note to self – a box of ding dongs, foil wrapped, might make a good funny christmas gift for her.
UC,
I never saw a ding dong not in a foil wrapper, you might have compared the ding dong to the Hostess chocolate cupcakes that were sold in the two pack? As a kid I loved them all and usually got one packed in a lunch for school. The real treat was when a Hostess Pie was in my lunch.desmondParticipantI thought twinkies enjoyed going down.
desmondParticipantAt least to good to be true if I would have purchased at the time of your original post. The stock price has dropped 16% since then and looks to drop even more. I would not want to wait for the stock to “come back” to break even with my investment just to get a large dividend. I prefer stock appreciation with a smaller dividend. I will keep an eye on AGNC though. jmo.
desmondParticipant

Is 4% that big of a deal to get you to buy INTC? QCOM is giving you 1.6%, MSFT is giving you 3%, CSCO is also giving you 3%. Is an additional 1-2% in dividend enough to swing you one way or the other. I personally buy tech for growth and not dividend. I have some dividend specific stock that gives you much more than 4%. AGNC is giving me 14.5% right now. I also have CEL, who’s currently giving me 11.5%. On top of that, I bought it when it was $6.xx, so I’m also up over 30%.
Cramer The Clown badmouthed CEL yesterday, and now the price is down… Interestingly, he endorsed AGNC, which continued its upward trend.
I started watching AGNC from this post. The 14.5% dividend sounded to just to good to be true, it was.

Yea, but you keep starting that 15 years over and over……………..
