“If they choose not to buy insurance, then they have to live with the consequences of not being treated in ER except for extreme circumstances.”
No insurance and No cash = No service. Why should hospitals provide service under any conditions for people who refuse to take personal responsibiity for their probable needs? Gas, grass, or ass… nobody rides for free.

Did El Rushbo tell you this? How exactly does a sales tax on a small number of home sales decrease small business hiring?

June 26, 2012 at 1:14 PM in reply to: Have you heard of a 6 months cash-out refinance waiting period? #746531DataAgentParticipantNot sure about the 6 month waiting period. However, I do remember reading something about the tax consequences of mortgaging a cash-purchased home. For IRS purposes, I think the refi is considered a 2nd mortgage with limited tax deductibility. You may want to research that if you’re counting on deducting the mortgage interest.
DataAgentParticipantI love filling my over-sized recycle can with daily paper copies of the LA Times and USA Today.
DataAgentParticipantYour question is sort of like asking “What’s the best car?”
DataAgentParticipantBlame it on our legal system. It is what it is.
Btw… I’m a commercial real estate broker. In 99% of my transactions, I’m a ‘dual agent.’
DataAgentParticipantHere’s the best website for San Diego residential listings: http://www.sdlookup.com/
DataAgentParticipantflu is right… CA is a very litigious state. That’s a big part of the complexity of our RE transactions.
If you want to shop on your own, go with a broker like Redfin. They will help you with all the required disclosures and guide you thru the process without any of the typical selling games.
DataAgentParticipantReal estate transactions in CA are very complex. Many listing brokers will not do a deal with an unrepresented buyer. There’s just too much legal risk involved.
Are you looking to share in the transaction commission or do you just not like to deal with realtors or lawyers?
DataAgentParticipantThere’s a chili cook-off in OB on June 23rd:

DataAgentParticipantLooks interesting. However, the reviews on Amazon ain’t so hot.
