I guarantee you, your costs are going up, not down. Please enjoy writing the check for those poor 30 million you and that idiot who signed the bill talk so much about. You all deserve each other.
OF course costs are going up. Health inflation ran 5 % last year in a down economy. It was running at 12 plus % when the economy was humming. CBO estimates that it will trim 1.5 % off the growth rate. That means health costs will still far out pace the rate of inflation. But the curve is moved in the right direction, but clearly not enough.
When we finally go to single payer (and we will), we will then and only then have an inflation health care rate that approaches that of other nations.

I think you should cancel your insurance. In fact I think you should ask your company to eliminate your job.
I work for myself moron. But nice try.
And, frankly, considering how high the costs of some over the counter drugs I take are (prilosec and mucinex come to mind) I don’t think that it is at all unreasonable for me to be able to use money I’ve set aside specifically for health expenses to pay for them.
Aren’t all you lefties for preventative health care? I suppose it’s fine when I get to pay for YOUR preventative health care but not when I’m paying for it myself?
You won’t be paying for mine. Contrary to your small brain opinion, some of us are middle class American’s that work hard, fund 401K’s, fund health savings accounts, etc. The difference is, we don’t come off as being completely self absorbed and completely indifferent to real problems facing the nation.
For the record, I agree with you that OTC drugs should still be covered expenses for HSA’s. Its your petulant attitude that I really had the problem with.

I think you should cancel your insurance. In fact I think you should ask your company to eliminate your job. Maybe they could send it over seas. Maybe then you’d have some empathy for people with real problems. You know, problems slightly greater than not being able to use your HSA to buy aspirin.
