CoronitaParticipant
Calling eachother RINO during the primaries is a common tactic. Current negative articles about Rubio from the extreme right are transient. They will die down as soon as Cruz is out of the race.
My prediction is that if Rubio gets the nomination, all of the GOP, including extreme right will fall in line and work for his election.
If Trump wins on the other hand, then defections are possible.
In short, there is not that much difference between what Rubio’s positions are and what the far right wants. I would not make any assumptions about him saying one thing to win primary and doing something else after getting elected. In fact, with a likely majority in house, senate and Supreme Court I will fully expect him to deliver on what he is saying!
The biggest issue I have with Trump, again, is his appeal to the most foul and bigoted personalities in this country.
Well, i for one hope Hillary wins. I like this second term obama and congress. I think it’s working great now that we have some balance restored.
CoronitaParticipant

i understand people don’t like Hillary.
What I don’t understand is why people think Cruz or Rubio is a better choice than Trump if you don’t believe in the basic dogma of conservatism. Their positions are equally repealing as Trump to me .
Cruz was a nutjob I never thought had a chance. Rubio is a RINO, but to me seems harmless.
How so? Ideologically there is not much difference between them. They both got elected as Tea party insurgents. If you look at Heritage Scorecard ( gold standard of “conservativeness” in voting) Cruz scores 100% and Rubio scores 90% . They both are cut from the same cloth. There is nothing centrist/ RINO about Rubio.
Lol. If the extreme right wingers hate him, all the better.

CoronitaParticipant
Problem is at night hard to tell level of tint compared to day time. Cop was being a jerk meeting his quota.
Anyways, tomorrow I will get it looked at local pigsty and hopefully it passes the truffle sniff test. Car was a CPO bought from local dealer and a prior lease of new car so doubt it had extra non factory tint added.
There is no such thing as factory tint on a BMW sedan that was for north america for the past few years. BMW never had an option for “privacy glass” on North America cars, with the exception of SUV’s like X5 and X3, and then it was only offered as an option for the rear windows. European BMW 5 series had this option, but it would only be available if someone previously took european delivery of your car. So unless your car was purchased via the ED program, it’s most likely an aftermarket tint film, not smoked glass.
CoronitaParticipant
So am I the only one here who doesn’t like Hillary? I really hate 2 party politics.
No, I don’t like her either. But I like trump even less. Which is really too bad.
I can probably work around hillary since basically she’s in bed with wall street.
Trump is just a flat out lunatic, and it empowers everything about this country that is just wrong. It’s like empowering the lowest of the low, the most radical, racist, bigoted, angry people who aren’t willing to lift a finger for themselves.
CoronitaParticipant
If it’s Hillary vs. Trump, I don’t think the democratic turnout will be low. Not because anybody’s super-excited about Hillary, but because they’d be super-excited about making sure Trump didn’t win.
To me, though, the brokered convention looks more likely than ever, with Rubio the nominee.
+1
I’ll take this further and say, if it’s Hillary vs. Trump, the turnout for anyone voting against Trump won’t be low.
CoronitaParticipant

Interesting. I did not know that.
Yeah, I am talking only about USAA. The same goes for jewelry, firearms, high-end camera equipment, and a few other things for which you’ll need a VPP rider. I suspect other companies are basically the same but I could be wrong.
When I was on the phone with USAA, they barely even knew what bullion was and had to put me on hold while they looked up coverage for such things. They thought I was a “coin-collector”.
Don’t people use bank safety deposit boxes. Or is that a no no?
CoronitaParticipantI can’t wait for someone that looked into trump corporations using illegal aliens also uncover his corporations used the h1b system or , worse, abused it.
It’s not a question of if they find out. Its a matter of when.
CoronitaParticipantThe presidential candidate debates…. A soap opera filled with ugly and old people. No thanks.
CoronitaParticipantPassport photos $5…. lol
Photo dept is ok if you are not that picky. If you are picky, some locations allow you tell them calibration settings you’d prefer.
CoronitaParticipant
Front windshield has no tint. Side windows clear tint very light. Back window has dark tint which is allowed. Cop was a punk idiot.
To my knowledge, BMW does not make a factory tint glass (smoked glass) on a passenger car. Only SUV/CUV and only for the rear window and rear side windows.
CoronitaParticipantSo I read about the CA laws regarding tint. The front is legal as long as it allows 70% of the light through. Mine are legal because they are UV only. But if this is a concern for you buy a cheap light meter and keep it in your car. Then if you ever get pulled over, you can show the cop the law and the results.
Otherwise, when you get pulled over, roll both of your windows down. Some cops hate tinted windows because they can’t see you after they’ve pulled you over.So you’ll end up getting ticketed for that plus whatever else you did.
CoronitaParticipant

Hey, quick question… Why do people prefer coins versus bars?
It seems like the markup over spot price for gold bars is tiny compared to coins. For example, this one is only $8 over spot prices…
http://www.ebay.com/itm/121826620158
Are bars generally less popular?
I’ll try…
First, and at the risk of dabbling in gold-bug nuttery (I am not one), the paper spot price of any PM and the retail prices of physical bullion products shouldn’t affect your purchase decisions. Yes, you’ll pay a higher premium for an American Eagle, but you’ll sell it for a higher price. Generally, I think the only way to narrow your spread is with quantity, not product.
As to your question, I think it’s part psychological & cultural. We know and understand that coins are “money”, but bars are something more mundane and inanimate.
I further think that for whatever reason, as far a bullion goes, coins are just more popular, hence more expensive. So many infomercials shill mint-proof coins, coins used to be (maybe making a comeback?) a popular graduation, retirement, wedding, etc. present. You can buy fractional 1/2, 1/4, 1/10 coins of at least Eagles and Maples.
Also, insurance for home storage? Pretty much no homeowners/renters policy covers bullion (or cash for that matter) over a few hundred $$$. But (I can only speak for my insurance) I can purchase a VPP (valuable personal property) rider for about 1% / year of the value of the *coins*, but bars are apparently not insurable under any circumstances with my policy.
Interesting. I did not know that.
CoronitaParticipantIf I recall, not tint in the front windows was allowed in CA. I would double check on that.
