I really wanted to figure out what people are seeing out here. I heard a lot of people gripping about salaries being low here. And I sort of gripe just in general regardless of how much I would actually be paid. But I have a sneaking feeling, it's not as bad as people make it out to be (at least when the employers tell you it's "lower" ).

The only gripe I had with San Diego is that it seems in many places your value was more determined by your odometer than by your speedometer, unlike the Bay Area. But now that I'm soon to be approaching an old fart mid 30ies, I'm not complaining either.
