    Thanks. I guess we’ll have to wait till August. There IS a medical college for nurses, Samuel Merritt. That’s where she’s going. http://www.samuelmerritt.edu/

    Thanks. We’ll look into Walnut Creek. We looked at the Daily Californian (Cal) yesterday and there was nothing. You’re probably right — it’s too early to start looking. Our daughter doesn’t require much. Just a safe neighborhood with good transportation. I guess I’m just surprised that in this bad real estate market, more people in the Bay Area aren’t looking to rent a bedroom out. We live not far from SDSU and there are plenty of such rooms available.

    There was one place she wanted where she had to fill out a multi-page q about her character/habits. This was North Berkeley and she was rejected. We are bears. But why is this rental market in this part of the Bay Area so tough? Any suggestions for other places very appreciated. She will be going to med school in Oakland. Thanks.
