There are plenty of people out there that can afford these things. Some people made thier money and some had it left to them. I don’t resent either of them. Use to as a young guy but then I realized that being upset with some one else requires time and engergy. I am selfish about my time and energy and learned not to care about it.
The thing I don’t understand is how people can build a house of cards (with thier family living underneath it) and not have ulcers thinking about what can/will happen.
I guess cross your fingers and wishing for the best isn’t something that just childern do.

I concur with you entirely. The katarine things is a special case. It chasing the Jones that is hurting us. Robust economy yes. Negative income is a different thing.
Still if you ran for President… At least I would vote!

I think he is on to something.
“It IS your fault” is a lesson that my parent’s taught me and I’m only 37. All these people making these kind of mistakes were taught these lessons from the baby boomers parents. They were of the “old school” philosphies! Pay Cash. You really don’t need it. A penny saved is a penny earned and all that stuff. So what happened along the way?
One of my grandfather’s died with over a million in cash. The other will with over a million in assest.
Neither of these men EVER made more money together than I make now in a single year.
They knew something our generation, and the next, doesn’t.
Just my rant…

I have proposed it once and I’ll propose it again. The answer is very simple. Invaded Mexico! The mexicans want a system of goverment that’s fair (at least fairer than the corrupt one they have), access to better education, safety, and medical care.
We want cheap labor. Sounds like a match made in heaven. And since the Puerto Rican have been been turning us down for years…
Relax people… There is no easy answer on this one… Most of immigranted here no more than 80-100 years ago albeit legally…

Tech is back? Even with the 6 figures a lot of geeks draw these days it won’t buy you a reasonable home here.
Also, QualCom is is under the gun these days. Its own (once laughed at) spread spectrum technologies are being duplicated by the EU. Its called UMTS. QCom may have some tough times in the years ahead (right now they are still doing fine).

Ok… So the followers of this blog know now that they are correct but I would almost have rather been wrong. This whole situation spells tough time ahead for this country and our friends and nieghbors will, invariably, lose thier jobs and maybe thier homes. OR maybe it will be you. Don’t do the victory dance so soon. Caution in everything…
