ParticipantUCGal, who were your contractors? I seem to remember you had major issues with one. We’re in the process of bidding out a large addition and I want to know who to avoid! We’ve had 5 bids so far and I only like 1 guy.

ParticipantAssume ALL babysitters are going through ALL of your stuff. I was what I would consider a good babysitter as a pre-teen and teen and even I snooped a little. Later I babysat with other friends or heard their stories and I was dumbfounded at the things these girls were doing. I could tell you stories!! Also, as a child my siblings and I were babysat by a girl who came with rave reviews and it’s a whole other thread what she did while watching us! So yes, password protect the laptop and lock up or nail down anything you don’t want walking away. I would never trust my kids or my house to a teenager. And I’m not paranoid; I just know too much. I’m sure there are some perfectly good ones out there. But there are some sneaky ones too that you’d never suspect!
