ParticipantComing from a different angle, does she like her job? I see merits with both plans so it would come down to whether or not she still wants to work for me. If she can retire now and do something that she loves, you can’t put a price on that. But if she really enjoys her work that’s a different story.

ParticipantYeah, I guess the new ones do have that feature. I misunderstood why he rewired it. We got a new furnace last year and apparently the guy who installed it wired it incorrectly. It was fine for heat but we had to rewire it so you could use the fan only.

ParticipantMy husband rewired the furnace so it is recirculating and filtering the air without heat.

ParticipantZillow is definitely not always high. Houses that haven’t sold for a long, long time are often undervalued on zillow. You take two houses in a neighborhood that are identical, one sold recently, the other hasn’t sold in 30 years and they’ll be very different zestimates.

ParticipantI know someone who was very close to forclosure just a couple of weeks ago. He has a condo in Oceanside that should have had a lot of equity in it but he refinanced numerous times to pour money into his business. His business went under about a year ago and he hasn’t been able to find gainful employment since that time (he has had temp. things here and there). So he hadn’t been paying his mortgage, HOAs, or property taxes. Anyway, he just landed a great job about a month ago. He contacted his lender and they were all too willing to help him work this out. He will be refinancing, yet again. Prior to getting this job, he was packed and ready to walk away.

ParticipantWonder waht they are sayiung today.
Heck I’m wondering what you are saying right now. Seriously, what are you saying? If a catastrophe comes along I’ll regret paying off my mortgage? Again, all my money is not tied up in my house.
