Actually I don’t care. I think this handout is a bad idea and won’t make any difference. But if they are giving out $1500 I want my cut too! They really penalize you for living in a HCOL area.

I’m not bitter. My house will be paid off in 2 years and hopefully that will coincide with at or near bottom. Then we can buy a bigger house, rental house, vacation home, or just continue to invest and retire early. We could have sold but I would have been miserable renting/moving with 3 little ones. I don’t regret not selling. I’m worried about what the economy is going to look like but there isn’t anything I can do to prevent that so it doesn’t make me bitter.
