ParticipantSorry, I have to echo the dog and kiddo thing comment. Hey, if all dog owners were respectful I’d have no problem with dogs being around (same can be said for parents & human children). But there are so many dog owners here that ignore the signs and let their dogs run free without a leash and don’t pick up their crap. I can think of two prime places in particular but you know I don’t want to advertise where they are! The one place this huge dog ran up and knocked me and my then 1-year-old daughter down (while I was 5 months pregnant) and the owner just giggled (showed up about 2 minutes later, not watching the dog) and said the typical, “oh he’s friendly, he just wants to play.” Um, wtf? I had a black and blue mark and bleeding scratches from that incident. Now that my kids are somewhat older there are certain places where we are dodging dirty dogs jumping up on them. I just don’t get it? I’ve been a dog owner most of my life (not currently) and I’d never let my dog run around and jump up on strangers.
Anyway, I don’t want to make this post a total drag. There is a dog park on Carlsbad Village Dr. just East of El Camino Real. My friend takes her dogs there every week and likes it.

Participant
Yes, but in most cases it can’t be done AS WELL for $x/10. I can’t tell you how much crap code I end up having to rewrite because it was originally written by some offshore developer who didn’t know a byte from a nibble.
My favorite quote on this topic is:
“If you think it expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur”
I have to agree with meadandale yet again and ditto this experience.
