Speaking of bailout talk. I was driving home at about 4:45 on thursday when a talk of a private bailout via Bank of America and Citigroup was reported in the news. I believe the number quoted was 1 billion dollars to finannce 7000 FB’s out of their toxic loans. Man thats going to hurt their profitability. I wonder which 7000 well deserving FB’s will get that refinancing?

Thats a red herring. Most US based exporters depend on components bought from overseas. So their inputs will get more expensive. There are a few business, like farm products, whose inputs are mostly domestic, but not many.

Other than bankrates ratings, how would one find out? I remember Powayseller mentioning Weiss ratings a while back, but those must be purchased.

They must have alot of seniority. Teachers in San Diego start in the low 30’s. They don’t even hit 50k till they are around 5 years plus a masters degree. One of my best friends is a math teacher in Palm Springs. When we graduated he couldn’t make the numbers work, even for a rental, as a teacher. This was in 1998.

sdrealtor, your numbers are anecdotal and skewed. Someone else even posted that the median household income in Carlsbad is only 90k. I am guessing here but thats mostly dual income families, not just single lawyers.

I have yes, but its a philosophy that will save you money and helping people out is what I am all about.

Rather than let my comment drop off at some shallow level (the level it was at first intended) I’ll wax a bit philosophical. Why is it that pretty people have higher expectations? I feel its because society in the form of all the inputs from friends, family and media inject them. We pay lip service to hard work or education, but what really gets our attention is a great rack, or a nice ass.

Its not limited solely to women either. I have no doubt that being fit and handsome has helped me get jobs. I stand up straight, make eye contact and speak clearly. So what right have I too expect more out of life than others?
