barnaby33ParticipantIm calling BS on that Cow_tipping. Lots of stuff has gone up since 01.
Lets see here, starting with food: I spend about 20% more on food than I did just 3 years ago. Eating out has gone up conservatively 30% in the last 3 years. My cell phone bill has gone up. Wine, a big category for me has gone up ALOT, though that is just as much currency related as anything else. Inflation is not zero. Even using a non-Austrian approach to inflation, I’d say its running at 6-7 percent. Oh yeah my rent has gone up as well, though not by huge amounts.
Then there is the killer, gasoline, ouch thats inflationary. Its just about doubled in the last 5 years. I know you excluded it in your post, but how can you? It is something we all need alot of.

barnaby33ParticipantSomebody left their italics on! That’s one of my favorite Megadeth songs.
Josh
barnaby33ParticipantWould his estate sell more cheaply?
Josh
barnaby33Participantpoorgradstudent, you are a good reader, thats exactly what she said, “we’ll wait and see.” The problem is that most of us have an interest in our leadership doing just that, leading. Telling people that they have to live with the consequences of their poor decisions is something that I am ok with. I wish my Senators were too.
Josh
barnaby33ParticipantWhy yes, yes it is.
Josh
barnaby33ParticipantAs long as I don’t have to massage her bunyons, we’re cool.
Josh
barnaby33ParticipantShhh I think he is going to offer me a job as a night watchman at his wifes trailer park in Santee. Don’t tell my current boss. I just got moved up to fries, from chopping lettuce. Thats huge man and if this doesn’t go through I need to keep his respect!
Josh
barnaby33ParticipantI got the same form letter response. It did not make me feel any better either. There are alot of victim words in her response. Feinstein hasn’t responded yet.
Josh
barnaby33ParticipantI’m no defender of Mexico, but it has been a good investment for alot of people over the last 30 years. It all comes down to risk reward. I’ll say this in defense of Mexico. If its so unstable at this point, why can you get American title insurance? I know you can as my father lives there.
I haven’t been to Manzanillo since my fathers boat broke down in the bay next to Las Hadas almost ten years ago. It was nice and sleepier than Mazatlan or PV. Its also a heavy port so there is industry other than tourism.
As to Canadians, there are alot of them in PV and Manzanillo, as well as Mazatlan. The pacific coast of Mexico seems to be a favored travel destination. Most places you go put out Canadian flags whenever they put out an American one (PV at least.)

barnaby33ParticipantSay what you want about its cashflows, I’ll do as Angelo does. Since he sold 190 million of his own stock this last year. I’ll keep my puts.

barnaby33ParticipantDCarlso1, I actually feel sorry for you. Most of the trolls come and go without pouring so much passion into their posts. Its a shame and I really mean that, that you couldn’t bring that much intellect to bare on the problems we discuss on this board.
Most of us, though by no means all, don’t wish other people to come to harm. However, the only way the system can right itself is if alot of people get harmed alot, and some get completely burned.
As to the difference between do-ers and complainers you are right. The people on this board have quite often been here a long time. Most of us had to buck the intellectual trend to find this place. We had to endure years of endless prattle about, “it only goes up.” We hardly qualify as complainers. Especially since all of us have had ideas attacked and had to defend them.
Your comments strongly hint that you are an agent, good luck with that going forward. There is a huge difference between hoping for a good future and planning for one by research. Most of the folks here fall into the second category. If there is a bit of schadenfraud in our souls, it must be forgiven; if for no other reason than the amount of crapola we have had to collectively endure from the other side of the fence for years.
Vaya con dios hombre.

barnaby33ParticipantCome on SD Realtor, your wife is not on this board. You are not automatically wrong.

barnaby33ParticipantWasn’t it last week when subprime was the focus, that it too was a small share of mortgages, around 6%. Now its Alt A. Hmm where are all the mortgages hiding, or is someone lying about the numbers?
Josh
barnaby33ParticipantAll caps, why are you shouting, “good luck,” at us?
